The best brands. One honest recommendation.

We will not point you at the most expensive tire on the rack. We will point you at the right one for how you actually drive.

Pick the tire for the driving you do

Most people buy too much tire or too little. Here is what each brand on our racks is genuinely good at, so you can tell which conversation you are having when you call.

Michelin

Premium

The longest tread life and the shortest wet stopping distances we sell. Worth it if you keep cars a long time or put on serious highway miles.

Goodyear

Premium

Headquartered right in Akron. The Assurance line is a safe pick for a daily driver, and the Wrangler covers trucks and SUVs that actually work for a living.

BFGoodrich

Performance and off-road

The All-Terrain T/A is the default answer for a truck or Jeep that actually leaves pavement. The g-Force line covers the performance side.

Bridgestone

Premium

A strong all-rounder. Turanza for quiet touring, Blizzak when you want a dedicated winter tire that genuinely handles Ohio snow.

Firestone

Mid-range

Bridgestone build quality at a friendlier price. The Destination line is a common pick for SUVs and half-ton trucks around here.

Cooper

Mid-range

American-made and popular in Trumbull and Stark counties. The Discoverer line holds up well on gravel and township roads.

Hankook

Mid-range value

Consistently the best all-season performance per dollar in our lineup. A sensible choice for a commuter car.

Yokohama

Performance leaning

Sharper steering feel than most tires at the price. Geolandar for trucks, Avid for touring.

Uniroyal

Value

Built for rain. The Tiger Paw has been a budget favorite for decades and it earns its keep on wet Ohio roads.

Mastercraft

Value

Made by Cooper, priced below it. A solid all-season for a second car or a lease you are handing back.

Kenda

Value

A lot of tire for the money. The Vezda all-seasons suit a commuter or a second car, and the Klever covers SUVs and light trucks without a premium price tag.

We also offer value-priced tires. Ask us when you call.

What comes with the tire

A tire price that only covers the tire is not a real price. Ours includes mounting, computer balancing, new valve stems and disposal of the old set, and we will tell you the total before you commit.

Road hazard coverage and manufacturer warranty registration are available on everything we sell. If you buy tires from us and pick up a nail six months later, come back and we will handle it.

Tire questions

How do I know what tire size I need?

It is printed on the sidewall of the tire you have now, in a format like 225/65R17. It is also on a sticker inside the driver door jamb. Read us either one and we can quote you.

Do I have to replace all four?

Not always. On a front-wheel-drive car with plenty of tread left on the others, two is often fine. On all-wheel drive, most manufacturers want all four within a few 32nds. We will tell you which situation you are in.

Are winter tires worth it in Ohio?

If you drive a rear-wheel-drive car, park outside, or commute in Snowbelt counties like Lake and Geauga, yes. For most Stark County commuters a good all-season is enough.

What does road hazard coverage actually cover?

Nails, potholes and glass. The things that ruin a tire that is otherwise fine. Ask us about it when we quote, it is inexpensive up front and it pays for itself the first time you use it.

Not sure what you need?

Read us the numbers off your sidewall and we will quote you three options at three price points.
